LiveWhale’s administrative toolkit is available to all users designated as admins in the Groups manager. You won’t use every admin page every day, but it’s important to know what you’ve got to work with (and how it works).
Activity
This is a report of everything that happens in LiveWhale. You can target specific groups or activity types, and search activity by user name or keyword. (For example, if you get a call that someone’s page is messed up.
Backup/Export
This page lets you retrieve backups, which are created by the CMS nightly, and export all CMS data.
Bulletins
Bulletins are messages from LiveWhale admins to your user community. Use them for things like upcoming site upgrades, training sessions, etc.
Globals
This page is the home for everything in the CMS that is shared by all users. Admins can set global tags, event categories, places, shared widgets, and more.
Groups
Groups are where you set groups and users. This is obviously one of LiveWhale’s core functionalities, so they deserve a page of their own:
Redirects
Redirects point URLs to new locations. These can be used for vanity URLs or to redirect page requests to a new post-redesign URL. Wildcards are supported.
